About Our Founder
Sara Frampton, Ph.D., is a Special Education Advocate with more than 30 years of advocacy experience. She has represented families since 1982 in San Diego, California, and the greater Southern California area. She is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and a Marriage and Family Therapist who has credentials and experience in California as a Special Education Teacher, Counselor, School Psychologist, and Administrator. She also has teaching credentials in Virginia and New York.

Dr. Frampton is the former President of the San Diego Chapter of the California Association of School Psychologists (SandCasp) and was selected to belong to Psi Chi, a Psychology Honorary and Kappa Delta Pi Education Honorary. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, two Master's Degrees in Special Education and Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Psychology.

Dr. Frampton has presented at conferences such as CARS+ and CASP and addressed school district staff in various locations in San Diego County, including Vista Unified School District, Sweetwater Union High School District, San Diego Unified School District, San Dieguito Union High School District, Del Mar Union School District, and Cardiff School District. She has also lectured at numerous universities in San Diego, including San Diego State University, Chapman University, San Marcos University, Brandman University and Point Loma Nazarene.

Identifying and representing the needs of Special Education students is the primary goal of Dr. Frampton's practice at Advocacy Associates which she founded in 1982. All staff is well trained and is licensed and/or credentialed with teaching, psychological, or administrative experience in the public and private sectors. Parent and student coaching is a hallmark of the work of Advocacy Associates. Dr Frampton has identified unique methods of supporting special needs individuals through the IEP/504 process.
